Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your Umrah journey with Kaba Tours.

Booking & Packages

You can book by filling in our online enquiry form, calling us on +44 203 504 9293, or sending us a WhatsApp message. One of our consultants will walk you through the available packages and confirm your booking with a deposit.

A deposit of £200 per person is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your departure date. For bookings made within 8 weeks of departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Absolutely. We specialise in tailor-made Umrah arrangements. Tell us your budget, preferred dates, departure airport, and hotel preferences, and our consultants will build a bespoke package for you.

Our packages are fully transparent. The price you see includes everything listed in the package inclusions. There are no hidden charges. Optional upgrades (single room, business class, etc.) are clearly stated with their costs.

Cancellation charges increase closer to departure. Cancellations made more than 12 weeks before departure lose the deposit only. Between 8–12 weeks: 50% of total cost. Less than 8 weeks: 100% of total cost. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions. We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Yes. Groups of 10 or more travellers receive a discount of up to 10% per person. Please contact us for a group quotation.

Visa & Documentation

You will need: (1) a valid UK passport with at least 6 months validity from your return date, (2) two recent passport-size photographs with white background, (3) a completed Kaba Tours booking form, (4) for families: proof of relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificates), (5) for women under 45: mahram documents, (6) MenACWY vaccination certificate. We will guide you through every document needed.

Umrah visas are typically issued within 5–7 working days once we have received all your documents. During peak periods (Ramadan, school holidays), it may take slightly longer. We recommend submitting documents at least 4 weeks before departure.

Yes, we handle the entire visa process for you. You simply provide the required documents, and we do the rest — from submitting the application to the Saudi Embassy to delivering your visa before departure.

Yes, Saudi Arabia requires a MenACWY meningococcal vaccination certificate from all Umrah pilgrims. The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before your arrival in Saudi Arabia. Your GP or a travel clinic can administer this vaccination.

Unfortunately, you will need to renew your passport before travelling. The Saudi Embassy requires a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport beyond your planned return date. Please contact us if you need guidance on passport renewal timelines.

Travelling as a Woman

Women under 45 years of age must travel with a mahram (husband, father, brother, or son). Women aged 45 and over may travel without a mahram as part of an organised group, provided they submit a no-objection letter. Please contact us for full guidance on the specific requirements.

The mahram must provide: proof of relationship (marriage certificate for husbands, birth certificate for sons/fathers/brothers), copies of both passports, and a signed no-objection declaration. We will provide you with all the relevant forms when you book.

Hotels & Accommodation

Our hotel selection ranges from 50m to 800m from Masjid Al-Haram, depending on the package. The exact hotel and distance are stated clearly on each package page. Our 5-star premium packages are the closest.

All packages include twin or triple sharing as standard. Single rooms, double rooms, and family rooms are available at an additional supplement. Please let us know your preference when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Yes. All hotels in our portfolio have full air conditioning. Saudi Arabia can be extremely hot, and comfort is a priority for all our pilgrims.

Haram-view rooms are available at select 5-star hotels and are subject to availability. They carry a supplement. Please let us know at the time of booking and we will do our best to arrange this.

Flights & Transfers

We work with several reputable airlines including Saudi Airlines, British Airways, Flydubai, and others depending on the departure airport and date. All flights are economy class as standard; business class upgrades are available on selected packages.

The standard luggage allowance is 23kg checked baggage and 7kg cabin baggage. Business class passengers receive 32kg checked baggage. Please note that Saudi Airlines may have slightly different allowances — we will confirm your exact allowance with your booking confirmation.

Yes, all our packages include return airport transfers between the airport and your hotel. For economy packages, these are shared group transfers. For premium and luxury packages, private transfers are included.

Yes, open-jaw flights (different departure and return airports) can be arranged on request and are subject to availability and possible price difference. Please enquire at the time of booking.

Health & Safety

Basic travel insurance is included in all our packages. We recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance which includes emergency medical cover, curtailment, and cancellation. Our team can advise you on suitable options.

Our 24/7 on-ground support team will immediately assist you. Saudi Arabia has excellent hospitals and medical facilities. We maintain all emergency contact information for the hospitals closest to both Harams and will coordinate care for you.

Yes. The MenACWY meningococcal vaccine is mandatory. We also recommend updating your routine vaccinations (hepatitis A, typhoid) and consulting your GP at least 6 weeks before travel. Saudi Arabia has first-class medical facilities, but prevention is always better.
